Product & Workflow

1) What does SlideNarrate do?

SlideNarrate provides two workflows: Notes Composer (AI-generated speaker notes from slide decks) and Video Builder (narrated MP4 generation from slides + notes).

2) Can I use only one workflow?

Yes. You can use Notes Composer and Video Builder independently.

3) Which input files are supported?

SlideNarrate supports multiple input flows:

  • Notes Composer (recommended start): upload a PDF (required) and optionally a source PPTX if you want notes exported back into PowerPoint speaker-notes format.
  • Video Builder with your own files: upload a PDF (required) plus either a CSV with `slide_number,notes` or a PPTX that already contains speaker notes.
  • Video Builder from Notes Composer outputs: generate notes first, then move to Video Builder with assets prefilled automatically (no re-upload needed).
  • Independent usage: you can use only Notes Composer or only Video Builder.

This flexibility lets you start from whichever assets you already have, then complete the workflow with minimal manual steps.

4) Can I edit generated notes before export?

Yes. You can review and edit notes slide-by-slide, save reviewed notes, and export reviewed CSV/PPTX.

5) Can I test a voice before full video generation?

Yes. Video Builder includes a single-slide voice test preview.

Plans, Credits, and Quotas

6) How are usage limits enforced?

Usage is controlled by plan credits and hard caps (for example presentations/slides/audio minutes), shown in your Usage Dashboard.

7) Where do I see my usage?

In the Usage Dashboard tab. You can view plan status, remaining credits, quota usage, top drivers, billing history, and recent usage events.

8) Do credits reset monthly?

Yes. Credits and monthly quota counters reset at the start of your next billing cycle.

9) What happens if I hit my plan limit?

New jobs are blocked before execution with a clear message, so you can switch plan or reduce usage without unexpected charges.

Billing & Subscription

10) How do I upgrade or downgrade?

Use the plan selector in Usage Dashboard. The app shows a confirmation dialog with current vs new credits/quotas before you proceed.

11) How do I manage payment method or cancel?

Use Manage Subscription in Usage Dashboard to open your Lemon Squeezy billing portal.

12) Are plan changes prorated?

Plan changes may apply proration according to billing-provider configuration. Any proration details are shown in checkout or invoices.

13) Is VAT/tax included?

Tax handling depends on your checkout region and store tax configuration. Final tax-inclusive totals are shown at checkout.

14) Where can I find receipts/invoices?

You can access billing records from Usage Dashboard and the subscription portal.

Data, Privacy, and Retention

15) How long are uploaded/generated files kept?

By default, uploaded input files, generated outputs, and temporary artifacts are retained for up to 7 days, then automatically cleaned. During technical incidents, retention may extend up to 14 days.

16) Do you store card information?

No. Card processing is handled by the billing provider (Lemon Squeezy and payment partners).

17) Do you transfer data outside the EU/EEA?

Depending on selected providers and infrastructure, some processing may occur internationally. See Privacy Policy for details.

Reliability & Troubleshooting

18) What if my job fails?

The status panel provides an error reason. You can retry with smaller batches or different providers. If needed, contact support with job ID and timestamp.

19) Can I run Notes and Video jobs at the same time?

Yes, one active Notes job and one active Video job can run concurrently per user.

20) What happens if I close the browser during a running job?

Jobs continue server-side. When you reopen the app, active jobs are recovered and status resumes.
